Arosa 1800 m is situated at the end of the stunning Schanfigg valley with only the same road and railway in and out!
A picturesque, medium sized resort that is ideal for families as well as for intermediate and more advanced skiers and snowboarders.
Arosa has a good variety of Pistes including the former women’s downhill run from The Weisshorn summit 2653 m, as well as miles of wide open spaces that are ideal for beginners.
The home of Gian Simmen, the former Olympic gold medallist, Arosa has an excellent half pipe, big air kicker and boarders park.
However the highlight of Arosa must be the amount of easily accessible tours that you can do using Arosa as a base to start from or finish at.
One excellent descent being down the back side of The Bruggerhorn through fields and forests to Molinis.
Snowmotions are proud to offer 3 new Chalets for Arosa for the 2008/09 season. Please click the link below for more details

Snow Safari
The Snow Safari is a lift pass that allows the user to make the most of the ski lifts in Arosa, Tschiertschen, Parpan and Lenzerheide. The tour from Arosa’s Weisshorn or Hornli down to Tschiertschen, up Gurgelletsch and round the Churer Joch and on to Parpan and Lenzerheide is one of the best in the area and can even be extended to include a return to Arosa via lake Schwendi or another descent from The Lenzerheide Rotthorn down to the village of Lenzerheide.
For the really adventurous the legendary “Seven Valleys Tour” that starts on Davos’s Parsenne summit and connects with the Arosa train at Langwies will then continue with the aforementioned Snow Safari … allowing seven valleys in the day!
However it must be stressed that it is rarely safe enough to attempt due to the alternating South and North hangs that need to be ridden.
None of these tours should be attempted without a mountain guide, local knowledge or having attended an avalanche safety course.
Snowmotions are happy to arrange an experienced, qualified guide for any of the tours at a cost of CHF 500. for the day for up to six clients but smaller groups are preferable.
If you are staying in St. Peter, Lenzerheide or in Flims or Laax and enjoy “off piste touring” Snowmotions will be happy to organise the excursion to Arosa for you.
Snowmotions is happy to operate airport transfers to and from Arosa and we recommend the following variety of Accommodation/Hotels to choose from:
