Free riding (off-piste) is a dangerous sport – but we all do it. With the site of a fresh dump of snow, the last thing most riders think of is about safety. But it should be. If you're a keen skier or snow boarder who likes to venture beyond the realms of traditonal piste skiing, then this is a course you should do. Learn the basics of safely riding off-piste with an informative yet fun filled 1-night / 1-day course based at The Lodge, Churwalden, Lenzerheide.

1 night accommodation at The Lodge
Use of avalanche safety gear including: transceiver, probes, shovel and backpack.

Evening (9pm-10pm) Avalanche Safety Talk: Q & A’s, video
Itinerary: Day 2
Morning: (9.30pm – 12pm) - Basic “Beeper, Probe and Shovel” Training
Lunch: (12pm-1pm) not provided
Afternoon: (1pm–3pm) – Practical “Beeper, Probe and Shovel” Training
Even if you've done a short course like this before, it's essential to brush up each season. You can never know too much and even if you lear just one small detail - it could make all the difference.
