Tracks Freeride Tour

Maximum of 6 people in the group, preferably less.

The most poplar back Country Tour we offer is “The Safari Tour” from Arosa to Lenzerheide via Tschiertschen or a different starting point in Lenzerheide at the Parpan Schwarzhorn to complete the same loop.

Another classic Freeride run is in Arosa called “The Molinis run”. 1600 m vertical over 6km.The top section is through rolling fields which drop in to the steep Schanfigg forest & can be challenging …

All the above mentioned resorts have quality Freeriding & Touring routes through stunning alpine scenery. Snowmotions & our guides know the local secret spots, far from the crowds & deep in powder.

Email info@snowmotions.com with the your resort info, planned dates & numbers in your group & we will recommend the best options & order the powder …

Freeride Tour

We use only qualified, experienced, local Swiss guides. The best of which are:
Claudio Manser & his True Values Team are based in The Engadine but travel over to the Central Graubuenden resorts. www.truevalues.ch
The Alpventura Team are based in Disentis – Sedrun but travel to the Central Graubuenden resorts. www.alpventura.ch
Private Guides Adrian Ruckli in Arosa, Thomas Roth in Flims – Laax make up our Team.

Due to the potential dangers of riding Off Piste we require a disclaimer to be signed prior to undertaking a tour but we can assure you that the clients safety is of the utmost importance and the guides decisions are made based on years of experience in the local terrain.

Boarders & Skiers are expected to have completed an avalanche safety course and have experience off piste. Riders are expected to be kitted out appropriately: Back pack with shovel & probe in. Transceiver (Beeper) & knowledge of how to use it !! Wide fatboy skis or long snowboards advisable.

If you have always planned to do an Avalanche Safety Course & have  never done so or would like to refresh your knowledge & skills, Snowmotions provide an “in house/in resort service” prior to any planned off piste action.

Snowmotions Avalanche Safety Course

Unless you are staying in a Snowmotions property we will come to your location and provide an evening of theory followed by a days practical on the mountain.

We provide the experienced English speaking local instructor and enough safety equipment to be used amongst the group. ( except for Transceivers on the practical day.)

Maximum of 10  participants in the group but 4 – 8 is ideal. The Cost: CHF600- to be divided amongst the participants.

Extras: Any lift passes you may need & CHF20- for a days rental of a transceiver if you don’t have your own.

IF YOU RIDE OFF PISTE DO THIS COURSE. It may save your life or another riders. Read the Mountain Safety page and apply The Avalanche Danger Scale every time you go Off Piste.
