Heliski Heliboard 2009

Starting in March 2009 we have a two month window to access the high alpine terrain with our partners Air Grischa www.airgrischa.ch for Switzerlands best Heliskiing & Heliboarding options.

5 Areas to choose from with a variety of take off/landing points & descents:

Madrisahorn / Gargellan : Start in Klosters & head off to Austria.
Arosa – Fuorcla Chamuotsch: Fly from Arosa & ski near St.Moritz
Hufi – Linthal: Fly from Rhine Valley. Descend Hufi Glacier to Glarus.
Sustenlimmi: Fly from Rhine Valley. Descend Susten Glacier.
Vorab – Elm: Start near Flims & descend to Glarus.

When conditions allow we prefer our clients to choose their area but it is wise to have other options available as the 5 areas are located many kilometres from each other where snow and weather conditions can vary hugely.

For Snowmotions guests that are staying at one of our Chalets or apartments we offer the same prices as Air Grischa. Local Transfers are a minimal extra. All Prices are based on a minimum of 4 people in a group. Prices quoted are per person. The cheapest option for a half-day and a single descent is only CHF290- !

Air Grischa & Snowmotions uses only professional, licensed, experienced local mountain guides. The clients’ safety is of paramount importance at all times.

For Groups and Corporate Clients.

The Package Includes:
3 Nights, Half Board, Hotel*** Stay
2 days Resort Skiing, Snowboarding
1 day Heliskiing/Heliboarding with experienced local mountain guide
All transfers.
Snowmotions advisor/driver.

Should the Helicopter not be able to fly you will receive a 3rd days’ ski lift pass and a refund of CHF500- in cash.

You will be met at & returned to Zurich airport by Snowmotions 4WD vehicle and transferred to & from your Hotel in Flims or Arosa. Your Hotel*** stay is half board, based on two sharing a double room. The choice of which Resort (Arosa or Flim- Laax) the clients will be based in will be determined by which Heli routes are planned. The Hotels used are the Arena in Flims & The Eden & Post Hotel in Arosa.

Two days ski lift passes are provided for Flims-Laax or Arosa. A guided full days Heliskiing/Heliboarding including TWO descents.
(If only one descent is possible a refund of CHF120- will be given.)

The selection of which route is flown and descended will be decided by the mountain guide and Air Grischa. Snowmotions will be in contact with Air Grischa , the mountain guide & the clients the week prior to your arrival so you will have a good indication of which descents you will be undertaking. Obviously local snow & weather conditions will govern these decisions.
If the days heliskiing/heliboarding is postponed or cancelled it is purely for safety reasons. The mountain guides decision is final. All clients will need to have their own transceiver & avalanche safety equipment. The safety equipment & transceiver can also be hired at CHF30- per day.
A signed Snowmotions disclaimer is required for all participants.

Extra options of a days Off Piste Guided Back Country Tour from Arosa or Flims-Laax are possible at only CHF120- per person based on a group of 4.

Heliskiing and Heliboarding is only an option for guests with a minimum of 2 weeks Off Piste experience and who have a responsible attitude.
